Job Description:

​Salad and Go is seeking a Fixed Asset Accountant who will be responsible for full-cycle fixed asset accounting with guidance from the Senior Accounting Manager. The ideal candidate will embrace challenges and be proactive in seeking out ways to improve our processes. We are looking for someone who is passionate about learning and is eager to contribute to the growth and development of our fixed asset operations.

As the Fixed Asset Accountant, you will:

• Ensure the accuracy and proper classification of invoices and journal entries within the Workday Projects subledger.

• Register business assets in a timely manner with appropriate attributes based on internal policies and procedures.

• Maintain and reconcile fixed asset subledger, including processing asset transfers, disposals, and adjustments.

• Compile and provide fixed asset documentation for external auditors and tax consultants, ensuring compliance with regulations.

• Assist in developing and maintaining fixed asset policies and procedures.

• Identify and implement best practices to streamline fixed asset accounting processes.

• Collaborate with Senior Accounting Manager to develop workflow narratives and strengthen internal controls over fixed assets.

• Prepare and complete fixed asset balance sheet reconciliations.

• Generate monthly fixed asset reports and provide ad-hoc reporting as needed.

• Support the annual personal property tax filings.

• Maintain real and personal property tax accrual balances and ensure timely adjustments.

• Perform business licenses and permits filings. 

• Perform ad-hoc accounting tasks and projects as needed

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting

• CPA certification (or active pursuit) is strongly preferred

• 2+ years of accounting experience required

• 1+ years of fixed asset accounting experience in a public or large private company, preferably in the food or restaurant industry

• Experience with Workday Financials preferred

• ASC 842 accounting experience is a plus

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office products required 

• Strong attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across all levels of the organization

• Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and thrive in a fast-paced environment

• Tech-savvy with the ability to quickly learn and operate accounting systems
